چکیده
In this paper, we examine gravitational radiation in higher order non-local gravity described by the Lagrangian density [Formula: see text]. This theory of gravitation always exhibits tensor transverse for text], corresponding to angular frequency composed two standard text] and polarization modes, massless helicity 2. Furthermore, it shows, under suitable constraint an additional massive scalar with 0. It is modes associated frequencies each which breathing lowest a parameter that takes into account difference speed between slightly wave one. Thanks NP formalism, find class waves according Petrov classification, where presence or absence all are observer independent. Also, forbidden cases, when some conditions satisfied. Finally, possible degenerate case continuous infinity appears particular constraint, reproduces two-dimensional spacetime Polyakov–effective action.

Higher Order Corrections in Gravitational Microlensing
We show that, in cosmological microlensing, corrections of order v/c ∼ ∆λ/λ, to the deflection angle of light beams from a distant source are not negligible and that all microlensing quantities should be corrected up to this order independently of the cosmological model used. keywords: microlensing, redshift, cosmology. In the last decade, gravitational lensing has become one of the most powerf...
متن کاملGravitational Collapse of Homogeneous Perfect Fluids in Higher-order Gravity Theories
This paper investigates the evolution of collapsing FRW models with a scalar field having the potential which arises in the conformal frame of high order gravity theories, coupled to matter described by a perfect fluid with energy density ρ and pressure p, obeying a barotropic equation of state. The solutions are shown to evolve generically to a singular state in a finite time and they are used...

متن کاملNon-local Properties in Euclidean Quantum Gravity Non-local Properties in Euclidean Quantum Gravity
In the one-loop approximation for Euclidean quantum gravity, the boundary conditions which are completely invariant under gauge transformations of metric perturbations involve both normal and tangential derivatives of the metric perturbations h 00 and h 0i , while the h ij perturbations and the whole ghost one-form are set to zero at the boundary. The corresponding one-loop divergency for pure ...

We show that, contrary to the situation in first-order term rewriting, almostnone of the usual properties of rewriting are modular for higher-order rewriting, irre-spective of the higher-order rewriting format. For the particular format of simply typedapplicative term rewriting systems we prove that modularity of confluence, normalization, and termination can be recovered by impo...
